Chlorine & Performance

These figures relate to the tested configuration and conditions and should not be interpreted as a universal performance percentage at every household operating flow.
The carbon media has chloramine-reduction capability. Chloramine behaves differently from free chlorine and Purenest Australia does not publish a universal chloramine-removal percentage without specific supporting system test data.
The cartridge media has reduction capability for selected VOCs, herbicides, pesticides and metals. Purenest Australia presents these as other cartridge-media capabilities rather than universal percentage-removal claims, because performance varies by the specific substance, water chemistry, flow and cartridge condition.
Hardness & Scale
The standard anti-scale configuration is not a traditional ion-exchange water softener. Where appropriate, Purenest Australia can discuss different hard-water treatment approaches, including resin-based options, depending on local water conditions and household goals.
The final stage includes scale-management media designed to help manage scale-related concerns while also providing final carbon filtration.
Traditional ion-exchange softeners remove hardness minerals such as calcium and magnesium. Anti-scale treatment works differently and does not remove those minerals in the same way. If hardness removal is the goal, a conventional softening system may be a more appropriate technology.
Servicing
