Water Corporation identifies Perth and Mandurah as major customers of the Integrated Water Supply Scheme. The scheme combines desalinated seawater, groundwater, surface water and groundwater replenishment rather than relying on one fixed source.
Because those sources are interconnected and proportions change, it is not accurate to assign one permanent source or hardness level to every Mandurah home.
